At PhoneTeq, your satisfaction is our priority. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase or booking a repair.

1. Product Returns — Change of Mind

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of the purchase date, provided:

  • The item is in its original, unopened packaging
  • All accessories, manuals, and documentation are included
  • You have a valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

We do not accept returns for items that have been opened, used, or are not in resaleable condition unless the item is faulty.

2. Faulty or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the nature of the fault, this may include:

  • A full refund
  • A replacement with the same product
  • Repair at no cost to you

Please contact us within 14 days of receiving a faulty product to initiate a claim.

3. Repair Warranty

All repairs performed by PhoneTeq technicians are covered by a 90-day workmanship warranty. This covers:

  • Defects in parts supplied by us
  • Workmanship errors by our technicians
  • The same fault recurring within the warranty period

The warranty does not cover:

  • New or unrelated damage after the repair
  • Liquid damage incurred after the repair
  • Physical damage (drops, cracks) unrelated to the original repair
  • Software issues unrelated to the hardware repair performed

4. Refurbished Devices

All certified refurbished devices are covered by a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects and hardware faults. This does not cover accidental damage.

Refurbished devices can be returned within 30 days if found to be not as described or carrying an undisclosed fault.

5. How to Return an Item

To initiate a return or warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at info@phoneteq.com.au or call +61 422 541 460
  2. Provide your order number or booking reference and describe the issue
  3. We will advise whether to bring the item to our store or ship it to us
  4. Once received and inspected, we will process your refund, replacement, or repair within 3–5 business days

6. Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If payment was made by credit card, the refund may take 3–5 business days to appear depending on your bank. Cash refunds are available in-store for in-store purchases.

7. Shipping Costs

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. For faulty or incorrectly described items, PhoneTeq will cover all return shipping costs.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
